Nike is currently partnering with Midwest Fashion Week to look for super talented up-and-coming Designers in the Chicago and greater Midwest area for an Apprenticeship Program to create a capsule collection for famous athlete, Serena Williams! The link below has all the info to apply directly. They are considering all qualified Apparel, Graphics, Footwear, Color, Materials, Accessories, 3D and Digital Designers.
This is a paid six-month apprenticeship program that will run from early June through November, 2021. Nike will invite the top 40 applicants to a three-day Virtual Design Combine in March 2021 where you can put your design chops to the test. From there, Nike will select the top 10 Designers to participate in the six-month paid Design Apprenticeship at the Nike World headquarters in Portland, OR where they pay for your relocation, housing and monthly stipend. (Onsite is still TBD depending on Covid restrictions, in which case Nike may have to adjust to make the program virtual).
We would like to encourage you to apply if you’re interested! Nike will need to see a portfolio (which you will upload as part of the application process), focusing on any or all of your creative skills and your process from: apparel design, graphic design, footwear design, color design, materials design, accessories design, 3D design and/or digital design. The deadline for applications is January 20th and they are accepting applications now at https://jobs.nike.com/serenadesigncrew.
