From Lima, Peru, Luis Machicao has designed attire with elegance and sophistication for 32 years. “I think the classy woman is always in.” Today, he embodies the fashion scene of Charlotte, North Carolina. He showcases collections in Milan, New York, and Paris, and won the Best Designer Award in 2013 at Paris Fashion Week. Machicao designs for actors, public figures, and influencers around the world. He makes everything with a couture touch.
“Since I was a little kid I knew that fashion was for me, I was always organized, I color coordinated everything I wore; everything was to perfection. I always showed interest in fashion, but it wasn’t until I had a chance to travel to Paris and assist in a few shows that I understood that my destiny was that of being a fashion designer.”

About his collection:
The 2020 Prêt-à-Porter collection was inspired by the classic aesthetics of the 1960’s and designed for the modern young professional. Luis infused the style of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Bianca Jagger, and Farrah Fawcett, just to name a few, into the new collection.
